When you request a reissue of an SSL certificate, be sure to use the same contacts and domain name that is associated with the original SSL Certificate. To get a reissue on an SSL Certificate, access the SSL certificate provider's site and follow the instructions:

Comodo: Contact Comodo Support at support@comodo.com or https://support.comodo.com/

GeoTrust:http://www.geotrust.com/resources/cert_reissuance/index.asp

Symantec:http://www.verisign.com/ssl/current-ssl-customers/revoke-replace-ssl/index.html

thawte:http://www.geotrust.com/resources/cert_reissuance/index.asp

Trustwave:https://ssl.trustwave.com/ssl-control-center.php

For example, on the GeoTrust site, you enter the order ID or the domain name that is associated with the order, and the organization or technical contact. This gives you access to the portal which displays a list of all of your orders. Click request access beside the appropriate one. When you do this, an email is sent to the address that you used to log in to the portal. That email contains a link to that will take you to a GeoTrust page that has a link that you click to resissue the certificate. When you click this link, a CSR is generated which you need to submit. .

Once the information is submitted, a confirmation request is sent to the Admin or Technical contacts that was on the original SSL Certificate order.
